Hamish is home!

Thank you everyone for following me on my two-year missionary adventure in Sacramento California. This site will remain online forever; as a reminder of the days I spent in the service of God. A reminder of the sad, happy, wet, dry, sweet, painful and the outright crazy. But most of all, a reminder of the love God has for his children. If you're curious what I'm up to these days, please visit my personal site.

Till we meet again,

Double Double

June 10th, 2009

Alright so another week has passed by here in Sunny Sacramento and I am happy to be here and report! Oh, and speaking of Sunny… the summer here starts in like May… so we’ve been getting it for a while now and whaoh boy… is it ever intense! I think the sun is going to melt me sometimes. Of course, as I’ve mentioned before, this is just the beginning. I guess being back on bike don’t help much either.

Well, my time is a little short today, so let me just say “All is well!” — we had two fantastic baptisms this past weekend. And they were just great. Elder Groshong baptized one of them, and the other was baptised by her father in-law. I gave the in-between presentation while they were getting changed and I used the Church’s new “Gospel Art Book”, it was a big hit… so apparently visual aids are the way to go. Hmm, maybe I should try using them in a lesson some time :)

So, most all the schools have finished this past week… “Schoooool’s out for ever!” haha, that’s what Elder Groshong was singing. Anyway, that doesn’t really affect us. Every day is the same for a missionary… except for PDAY, of course.

Well, as I said, time is indeed short today, and I can’t keep the other missionaries waiting. Before I go, I just want thank all the cool peoples who write me, you rock. Snail mail is always cool too, so keep that up if ya can ;)

Alright, back into the heat I go, Till next time!

Love,
Elder Macpherson
