Hamish is home!

Thank you everyone for following me on my two-year missionary adventure in Sacramento California. This site will remain online forever; as a reminder of the days I spent in the service of God. A reminder of the sad, happy, wet, dry, sweet, painful and the outright crazy. But most of all, a reminder of the love God has for his children. If you're curious what I'm up to these days, please visit my personal site.

Till we meet again,

Canada takes the Gold!

March 1st, 2010

Well friends and family, this will be another quick update. First off, I heard about the great success we had in the Winter Olympics this year. That’s awesome. Though some people here are still trying to make fun of me and downplay the success. Well, I won’t let it get to me! In more spiritual news, Brianna’s baptism this Saturday was ammmmazing. So many people were there to support her, especially the YW and their leaders. Elder Deason did the baptizing, for his first time, and he did a great job. Brianna bore her testimony after the baptism and it was so cool, I think everyone loves to hear convert’s testimonies. I confirmed her in Sacrament meeting the next day. I was also unexpectedly called upon to confer the Aaronic priesthood on Ed, and ordain him a priest. That was a cool experience too. Ed’s such a nice guy, we hung out at his place for a little while today, and played some pool. Oh, and in case you’re wondering… the bed bugs aren’t gone yet, I got more bites on my feet and legs a few days ago. It’s back on the couch for me until I can kill these pests! Grrr… it’s really frustrating… they hide during the day so you can’t find em. Pray for me, please! :) — Till next time,

Love,
Elder Hamish Macpherson
