Thank you everyone for following me on my two-year missionary adventure in Sacramento California. This site will remain online forever; as a reminder of the days I spent in the service of God. A reminder of the sad, happy, wet, dry, sweet, painful and the outright crazy. But most of all, a reminder of the love God has for his children. If you're curious what I'm up to these days, please visit my personal site.

Till we meet again,

Happy Easter

April 5th, 2010

Happy Easter everyone! It’s good to be hear again this week to let y’all know what’s up and down in the little town O’ Tracy. I think this will be a fairly short update. But I’ll make it worth your while! So, I started off the week with my second District Leader exchange on Tuesday! It was really fun, I went into the Hidden Lake and Sycamore Ward area with Elder Mourritson. We had a lot of fun, but overall… the day was pretty rough. Just a few days previous they had accidentally dropped their cell phone into… wait for it… … … the toilet! Can you believe that? Yeah, I didn’t either. But, now they have a new phone because it took them several minutes to get the first one out of the toilet, at which point it no longer worked quite right. Anyway, all that to say, we didn’t have a working phone all day, so that made planning difficult. In the evening I went tracting with one of the teenagers in the Hidden Lake ward and someone actually let us in! So we got to teach the family and it was pretty fun! On Thursday I did my first official District Leader training at our weekly meeting. I trained on teaching simple and clear lessons, I think it was pretty well received, I still think I could do better at teaching… but I’m sure I can improve if I work at it. Brianna, the awesome girl that got baptized a few weeks ago, had her 16th birthday on Friday, so we went by for some well wishing, and of course, cake (and ice cream!) — finally on Saturday and Sunday we had the 180th Annual General Conference, which I thoroughly enjoyed! I feel like the greatest moments of my mission are 1) Baptisms, 2) General Conference, 3) Zone/Mission Conferences, in that order… oh and dinners too! I love food. Michael is still working towards April 10th for baptism so we’re excited for that. Lastly, this morning we did a sweet near-20 mile bikeride with our Bishop here in the Tracy Ward. We took a country road out to an aquaduct and biked along there for a while, it was lots of fun! For what it’s worth that same aquaduct goes all the way to Los Angeles! Anywho! I think that’s all that has happened this last week, sooooo till next time! Peace out!

Love,
Elder Macpherson
