Just another WordPress weblog
Thank you everyone for following me on my two-year missionary adventure in Sacramento California. This site will remain online forever; as a reminder of the days I spent in the service of God. A reminder of the sad, happy, wet, dry, sweet, painful and the outright crazy. But most of all, a reminder of the love God has for his children. If you're curious what I'm up to these days, please visit my personal site.
Till we meet again,
— Hamish Macpherson

I feel like this section would be better written after the mission. But of course that defeats the purpose of this page. So I’ll simply tell you what I’ve found out for myself.
The California Sacramento mission comprises eleven stakes and borders six other missions (five in California one in Las Vegas). It’s considered a bike mission. Cars are still driven by some elders, but if the area is bike accessible, then bike it is!
As for the city of Sacramento, I think Wikipedia describes it best.
Sacramento is the capital of the U.S. state of California, and the county seat of Sacramento County. Located along the Sacramento River and just south of the American River’s confluence in California’s expansive Central Valley, it is the seventh-largest city in California. With a 2007 estimated population of 475,743, it is also California’s largest inland city.
